Varec releases wireless data transmission for tank gauging

Varec is able to supply a wide variety of wireless communications options designed for real-time communications between your tank gauge, meter or field instrument and an interface device, such as a 8130 Remote Terminal Unit or Handheld PC.
Varec wireless devices are able to use MODBUS 232/484 to communicate with the field device and Bluetooth, 900 MHz spread spectrum, IEEE 802.11 b/g or cellular communications to transfer the signal/measurement back to the interface device.

Depending on the model selected, the following features are available: MODBUS RS-232/485 instrument communications Bluetooth, 900 MHz spread spectrum, IEEE 802.11 b/g or cellular AC, DC or solar powered units Digital/Analog/Pulse inputs and outputs Point-to-point or point-multi-point systems

Rosemount Analytical Liquid and Gas Advances

Rosemount Wireless pH Transmitter
The Model 6081-P transmitter is ideal for monitoring applications, especially in hard-to-reach or cost prohibitive locations. Model 6081-P measures pH and ORP and is compatible with most Rosemount Analytical sensors. The transmitter has a rugged, cast aluminum weatherproof and corrosion-resistant enclosure (NEMA 4X and IP65). The transmitter includes a two-line 16-character display with simple and intuitive menu screens. Plain language prompts in six local languages guide the user through the programming and calibration procedures. Wireless HART™ digital communications allows access to AMS (Asset Management Solutions) for live process variables and useful diagnostics and troubleshooting information.
Installation and start-up of the Model 6081 wireless transmitter is simple. Just power the Model 6081-P and assign it to a wireless network with a Wireless HART™ Model 1420 Gateway. The unit will auto-locate the most efficient path to the host and will begin transmitting measurement data immediately.

The Model 1056 Analyzer has gone Digital
Rosemount Analytical's 4-wire transmitter offers dual inputs for any combination of liquid analytical measurements offered by Rosemount. Now the have added digital communications to make this analyzer the only solution you need for any 4-wire liquid analytical application.
HART® and Profi®bus DP digital communications are available. Model 1056 HART units communicate with the Model 375 HART® hand-held communicator and HART hosts, such as AMS™ Intelligent Device Manager. Model 1056 Profibus units are fully compatible with Profibus DP networks and Class 1 or Class 2 masters. HART and Profibus DP configured units will support any single or dual measurement configurations of Model 1056.

Rosemount intorduces the next generation of Oxygen analyzers
With the release of the X-STREAM Oxygen analyzer Rosemount has simplified the maintenance associated with taking this measurement. The X-STREAM oxygen transmitter is easy to install. The probe tube can be threaded directly into an economical 2½" NPT thread or also use the more traditional flange mount. Adaptor flanges are available for most competitive probe mounts. Calibration and reference gas lines use ¼ inch ferrule fittings. AC line voltage directly powers the heater inside the probe and the transmitter electronics are loop-powered by the 2-wire 4-20mA signal. Once the initial installation is complete, the probe and its associated wiring and gas fittings never need to be removed. The diffuser, cell ,and inner workings of the probe can be removed from the housing without removing the housing from the process.
The HART® communications with EDDL protocol provides a link into Emerson Process Management's PlantWeb® architecture. Setup, calibration and service diagnostics can be performed remotely with a HART 375 hand-held communicator, AMS or via a single or dual channel Xi enhanced interface. The Xi enhanced interface also carries advanced features such as automatic calibration, extended process temperature operation to 850°C (1562°F), Stoichiometer feature and programmable reference.
