Detector Electronics Corporation releases new HART flame and gas detection instruments

Detector Electronics Corporation (Det-Tronics) recently released intelligent flame and combustible/toxic gas detectors that include HART communication protocol. The HART protocol provides users with detailed device diagnostic and configuration information that is digitally transmitted along with the instrument’s 4-20mA analog signal. Users can now easily configure their optical flame, combustible gas, and toxic gas detection instruments using HART commands just like their process instruments. Communication options include a HART handheld field communicator, a HART-based asset management software system, or Det-Tronics FlexVu model UD-10 Universal Display. Users also gain access to onboard historian logs including time- and date-stamped records of events such as calibration procedures, alarms, and faults. All Det-Tronics flame and gas detectors with HART are Factory Mutual (FM) Performance and Canadian Standards (CSA) certified.
