Fine Line Instrument Newsletter Winter 2010

Fine Line Instrument Newsletter Winter 2010

2009 ended up as the best year ever for Fine Line. Sales were up over 2008, which had been our best year ever. Our successes last year were attributable to the hard work put in by our sales force and our book keeper, but also to the faith that our customers had in us as a dependable supplier. It was certainly not all clear sailing through the year, as we encountered an operating system change at one of our key suppliers and some product quality issues. However, our suppliers made good on the quality issues and are working hard to get through the operating system transition.   If anybody would like some advice on changing operating systems, we would be glad to offer our two cents.

Our vision for 2010 is that the economy is unsettled and customers appear hesitant to spend money for capital investments. Since our business is heavily weighted towards maintenance and repair, our hope is for only a modest fall off from the two previous stellar years.   As always, we stand ready to help with any and all customer requests.

The really good news from our corner of the world is that Jake Locker is back, The Mariners look good on paper and our winter is thus far mild. We are, however, hoping for lots of snow further north….say, Vancouver, BC to Whistler. Got to keep those Olympics on schedule!!
